Movies at Home vs Movies in Theaters
Covid has obviously changed a lot of things and one of those things is watching movies. With all the streaming services that are available the need to go to the movie theaters has decreased a lot. This raises the question of which is better at-home movies or going to the theater to see movies. Both options have their pros and cons. At-home movies are extremely convenient as you don't have to drive anywhere or worry about getting somewhere at a certain time because you can watch the movie wherever and whenever you want to. However, when you go to the theaters the quality of the big screen and speakers is something that is hard to replicate at-home. The big screen can definitely improve the viewing experience of the movie. When it comes to snacks during the movie, it is definitely cheaper at home than at the theaters. You could always go to the store before going to the theater to get some snacks, but even then, you are still overpaying for drinks and popcorn. Movie theaters have a newer selection of movies, but at-home movies have a larger variety, and most movies go to some streaming services after being in the theaters. With at-home movies, you also don't have to deal with other people who could be annoying or obnoxious. In my opinion, at home movies are better than going to the theaters but I still go to the theater every once in a while.
I definitely agree with you! I find myself drawn to enjoying more movies at home based on the convenience of it. I also agree that the add-ons like snacks and drinks at movie theaters are outrageously expensive and should be lowered. Do you think movie theaters would be more enjoyable if it was more convenient like at home? I think if that were to happen more and more people would come out to the theaters again. I haven't been to the movie theater in such a long time as well but I will go if there is a amazing movie premiering.
